Fees as at 1st November 2007

Payment for consultations is expected on the day. The listed fees have been discounted by $6 assuming payment is made immediately following the consultation.

Whilst our fees are independent of the government supplied rebate to patients we have maintained a link with these rebates for your convenience.

Currently for a brief visit which is for a minor matter our fee will be $22 if paid on the day.  For some of our services there will also be a fee for the activities of the practice nurse, however this will be at the level of the government rebate.

For the most common routine visit of less than twenty minutes the fee will be $55 if paid on the day (Government rebate $33.55). If other tests or procedures occur, the fee will be increased and generally these will be kept at the rebate level.

If appointments are missed or reasonable notice not given, there may be a fee of $20 (plus GST of $2).There is no rebate available for this.

We will consider discounting our fees and billing the government directly for those people on a concession card who feel they are unable to manage the gap. For Dr Richards only, bulk-billing is only available when appointments are booked on the day of the appointment, or the doctor requests the visit. Please speak with the receptionists.

Prescriptions, repeat referrals, or copies of your results can be obtained for a fee of $5.50 inc GST.

Overdue Accounts

In order to maintain a high standard of service to our patients we may advise a discontinuation of services if your overdue accounts exceed $200. If we felt that services should be discontinued we would of course discuss this with you and attempt to come to an arrangement to prevent such action.
