General Sites : Where possible
I have tried to stick to Australian Sites. The following websites
all cover a large range of topics in an easy to understand format. Their extra
information is listed below.
My Dr :
Australian - A commercial website which also has a good search for
accurate information on medication as well as support groups.
Health Insite
: Australian - A government site which also includes
listings of health and community services provided by state government
as well as guides on how to assess online information.
Better Health
Channel : Australian - The Victorian State
government site which includes healthy recipes, health quizzes and an
image library of the body and some diseases.
E
Medical : Australian - Originally set up by
Victorian GP's with free membership, ratings for many other specific
health websites and chat rooms and message boards. There is also a
pharmacy online site as well.
UK Patient Handouts
: UK - About 700 Patient information leaflets
covering a variety of general practice conditions.
