MD MMed FRACP (Rheumatologist)

Taf graduated from the Medical faculty of Addis Ababa University, in 1987. He worked in the Hansenian welfare organisation with active involvement at the National Leprosy Control Program and as a resident of internal medicine.

He moved to Australia in 1994 and worked in Royal Prince Alfred Hospital in Sydney for several years, as a Dermatology Research Registrar and completed the required course to gain his Masters of Medicine in Dermatology.

This was followed by gaining his FRACP after practicing exclusively in adult rheumatology, with a special interest in inflammatory arthritis. Taf is accredited to SCGH and Hollywood Private Hospital. Taf speaks several languages including Tigrinya, Amharic, Italian and a little French and enjoys various sports such as running, soccer and involvement in church-related activities.
